First of all they add about 10 pounds of make-up the the girls face before.
Second they extended her neck, and made her shoulders more contoured
Then they make her lips more prominent
They airbrushed a lot of her face and gave her a perfect complexion
finally they raised her eyebrows up and made her eyes bigger, and more radiant.
I think that when advertising beauty, it gives people false expectations of what they should look like. Enough people in this world think so horribly of themselves due to the media shining light on what seems to be "perfection"
When you are changing to make the people seem perfect, and change everything about them, that is wrong, but when you change something minor to help a person, like a blemish, or a missing tooth, that's okay.
They are similar because people don't want to be lied to, especially when it directly impacts what they think of themselves, and the world around them. In photojournalism i think the rules should be and are much stricter because the whole point of photojournalism is to tell a story through a picture, and you don't want to be given a false story. Anyone can take a picture, but it takes a photographer to take a photo, and thus create photojournalism.

Photojournalism Ethics
I think that most of the rules should be situational because under certain circumstances altering a photo is perfectly alright. If a photographer takes a picture of a dog helping a person stand back up; it's a sweet photo, but if also the photographer shot another peeing, that takes away from what the photographer actually wanted and in any case, was useless.
However, if you take a picture of a guy and he's just standing there, and you add someone with a gun next to him, that is under no circumstances alright.
I think that it is important for new organizations to define the rules because the viewers of the program don't want to be fed false information about things that directly impact them.

Ethics Intro - Photo Manipulation
In an attempt to show diversity at a college they digitally put a black guy in a picture of white people cheering at a game. People got angered by it and they told them it misrepresented the school.
I think that when it comes to people's appearance for example: blemishes, scars, messy hair, it doesn't matter, but when the editing changes the intent of the picture and it makes the picture more meaning full, but artificially, it is wrong.

I think that this is the least unethical because moving the pyramids closer together don't effect anything, the camels were still walking together and there are actually moutains.

Sugar Hill
A. What skills in addition to photography did Melanie Burford utilize to produce this slideshow?
She timed each photo so the more important ones sort of lingered longer, she also used the voices of people that actually lived there.
B. What was the effect (added power or meaning) of the multimedia effects of the slideshow.
To actually be able to see how things really are is a complete shock to me, and i see it in other countries, but in our own, i our state, it's ridiclous.

Printing
We loaded the negatives into the enlarger and set the time for 3 seconds.
We placed the blank photo paper in the Easel. to set the border then focused the image by moving the levers up and down on the enlarger and trying to get the picture best in focus.
Then we pushed the button to turn the the light on to expose the image onto the paper.
Then followed with the rest of the developing process.

After Posting Blog
First I got my negatives and i put the into the slide. I turned the light on and positioned it to see what I would like it to be. I timed the light to see how dark i wanted it to be. I choose number three for three seconds because it looked the best to me.. I then did the normal developing process. And it looked excellent.

Negatives
Most of the photographs i took of the human knot came out pretty good. There are some water spots that Mr.Reeves said could be fixed. I took one shot where a bunch of the girls involved have their arms up in the air, and although they were moving, it's not blurred at all, it's perfectly cleared(19). In general my pictures weren't over-exposed at all, they came out relatively nice. Another picture has a shot from the ground and i remember taking it, and i moved and thought it wasn't going to be good, but it see it and it appears that they were standing over the lens(22).
Academics preview
Best Story: This one seems to say the the girl is a study-aholic. She probably doesn't do much except study for whatever classes she's in.
Action and Emotion: This picture really shows action because she's sitting there doing her work, alone, for a long period of time, and everyone around her is movie at a fast pace doing fun work, while she's not included.
Filling the Frame: This picture is completely filling the frame. At first it's hard to decipher what exactly is going on, but then you realize what she's doing and it's amazing how the foreground is completely focused, but the girl's face is semi-blurred.

I really like this picture because it is a little boy who's just hoping for the rain to fall on his face. He's looking up at the sky desperately. He almost looks like he could be crying, or just having a hard day and that would cheer him up more than anything. The lighting is especially cool becuse it's all sort of dark around the edges, but it gets to the boy and his skin looks pure and white.

The Camera
The main difference of the pinhole cameras and the SLR camera are:
1. The Pinhole Camera can only take one picture at a time. The SLR camera can take as many images that are in the film, which brings me to 2
2.The pinhole camera doesn't require film. You simply put photo-paper in the camera and the shot of the object reflects onto the paper.
3. With the SLR camera, to get better frames you can use different lenses, but with the pinhole it is basically all you have is all you get.
The similarities of the two cameras are:
1. You can take black and white pictures with both
2.They both take skill to master the art.
3. They're both FUN!

I really like this pinhole picture, there doesn't seem to be much distortion, it's a little bright, but for the most part it looks good. There isn't really action, and there isn't a person in the photo, it isn't blurred. The car, for the most part, appears to be in focus, but the trees in the background look a bit blurry.

This one is not as good, in my opinion. I has neither people, nor action, although it is, in fact, blurry. It doesn't really draw my attention, and it isn't very captivating.
